Here is a tentative schedule of races that I am planning on sailing in 2010. March 26, 2010- Newport to Cabo- Newport Beach, CA to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This is a major 800 mile long ocean race. I do not have a boat lined up for the race at this time, but am hoping to be able to compete. April 10, 2010- The Corinthian Race- San Francisco, CA. This is a short distance race that I plan to race doublehanded in Warrior's Wish, with owner Don Gray. This will most likely be the first race that I sail warrior's Wish in. April 25, 2010- Newport to Ensenada- Newport Beach, CA to Ensenada, Mexico. This is a major 125 mile ocean race. I will be sailing on "Trippin'", a Tripp 40 out of San Diego, CA. May 22, 2010- Singlehanded Farallones race- San Francisco Bay to Farallon Island and back. This is a 56 mile ocean race. This will most likely be my first singlehanded race on Warrior's Wish. June 19, 2010- Singlehanded Transpac- San Francisco, CA to Hanalei Bay, Kauai, Hawaii. This is a 2,200 mile solo ocean race. This is the one i'm working for.... Date TBA- 400 mile qualifier voyage- Though not a race, I will be required to sail "Warrior's Wish" at least 400 miles, non stop and solo, while going at least 100 miles offshore. This is a standard required qualifying sail to be eligible to sail in the Singlehanded Transpac. I am tentatively planning to complete my sail in February or March. I will *probably* go 200 miles out and back. Once in San Francisco, I plan to race pretty much every weekend that I can, as I was in San Diego.
