Tons and tons of great progress going on with "Warrior's Wish" and my SHTP campaign. I completed my 400 mile solo offshore qualifier sail for the race, have had my safety inspection, filed all the paperwork, and have the boat much closer to being ready for the race.
Approaching Golden Gate on a rainy day at the end of my 400 mile offshore qualifier.
Singlehanded Transpac is just two months away. Wow. I'm not really where I planned on being at this point, due to various setbacks, but i'll be ready by June. The autopilot is finally working as it should, and i'm extremely happy about that. With more time in the boat, and everything working properly, i'm beginning to become so excited about racing it to Hawaii. It's right around the corner...
Sailing with the autopilot again! Yay! It works... That invisible dude sits there and happily steers the boat for me. Awesome!
It's been ages since i've updated the blog. I was hoping to have completed my 400-mile qualifier before updating the blog again, but the autopilot is still not working properly, so i've yet to go. I've been sailing the boat and getting ready, and i'm very close to being ready. Just need to get the autopilot working...
It's been a while since i've updated the site. I've been busy, but in a good way. Racing on other boats, sailing the Jutson, working on it, working on other boats, out of town racing, etc. Sailing, sailing, sailing, 24/7 right now, which is awesome. Preparations for the Singlehanded Transpac are moving along. I've run into some problems with the boat (does it ever end?), but fortunately i've been diagnosing and fixing those problems, one by one. Everyone involved with the SHTP has been very friendly, and all in all, the Bay Area's sailing community has been really awesome so far. 3.5 months until the race starts. Still have a lot to get done before then, but i'll be ready. Very excited.

I've been here in the bay for a couple of weeks now, and things are rolling right along. I've been sailing the boat around singlehanded several times now, becoming much more familiar and proficient with sailing it. I've had stuff break/ mess up and have to fix it, i've met a lot of neat people, and hopefully this week I will be heading offshore for the first time on it. All in all, i'm reallyy excited to be here and my first few weeks in the Bay Area have been pretty positive.
Warrior's Wish has finally made it to California, but not without some more serious drama. The boat is in the water now, and I am beginning my training and shakedown sailing of the boat for this year's Singlehanded Transpac. Definitely super duper excited to be on the boat, in California, sailing, and just surrounded by general awesomeness. The real fun is beginning right now. It's on.
